Reading
We  continue working on the novel, Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli.  I LOVE THIS BOOK and author!  Think about Jerry Spinelli for summer reading!!
Students are working on comprehension, context clues and literary elements of plot throughout the novel.  There are various themes throughout this book, racial prejudice, family, friendship, survival...we will discuss and work with them all.

*Last Reading Log due Monday!

This week we will learn how to graph a function.  Next up will be our unit on Algebra.  We will explore the meaning of variables.  We will then apply this knowledge to solving equations with variables.
