This will be the last Blog until we return from Thanksgiving break.  The next post will be on Saturday, December 2.  We hope everyone enjoys the time with their family and returns to school on Tuesday, November 28, safe and rested.

4A Mr. Bradford

Reading 
This week we will continue reading The Witches, which we will complete the following week.  Character development...how did the protagonist and the antagonist change throughout the novel.  How did the supporting characters influence them.
Skills:  Using figurative language (in association with our novel)
Spelling lesson 10 (more vowel + r) the week after Thanksgiving break.
Reading Logs due Monday, Tuesday latest or points lost.

Science

These students are very charged up about reaching out to touch something positive. Static electricity project due on Monday. 

Social Studies
We will continue with chapter 4 and meet some of the first European explorers that came to Wisconsin:  Jean Nicolet, Louis Jolliet, and Jacques Marquette.


Math
We have started to conquer long division by solving one digit divisors by two and three digit dividends.  Before the break we will take a visual look at division.  When we return from Thanksgiving, we will continue with division by adding zeros in the dividend.  Ask your son or daughter to sing the Division Song.  Click the link below for the catchy tune.
